Neosteel's Keyholder-Game

- the Story -

Part 1

I was hardly able to believe my eyes when I read the article in the "Lady Like Journal".

I monthly subscribe to the magazine since more than ten years and know it as quite conservative - however also very informative - with numerous tips with regard to fashion, household and family. But also as a good adviser for a happy marriage or partnership.

However, I cannot with the best will in the world remember an article which so openly reports about sex, even fetish, in the marriage.

"How to Move Dusty Relationships to New Dimensions" stood in big characters on top of the page and as subtitle "A Computer Game brings Life into Love of the North Americans."

The photo on the page showed a small black safe with the words "Security Box" on it and with a display - obviously to give in a digital code.

The caption was: "Neosteel's Keyholder-Game reveals new possibilities for the emancipation in the marriage of the North American woman. Only of the North American woman?"

The text reports about a married couple, Elisabeth and Henry, living in a small town in Virginia who does not get with each other after the children are out of the house. They had fully concentrated their whole life on the children.

The daughter Jamie, 20 years of age, had completed her studies and got a lucrative employment in Atlanta two months ago. She gives them regularly telephone calls to report about how she deals in the city and with the new job. Usually she has to tell so much that she completely forgets to ask about how mother or father are feeling. Of course the telephone call doesn't replace the common dinner as it was in the past and particularly not, that one had to go up only stairs to her room to have the feeling that one is a family and not alone.

And the son Tom, 24 years old already, and married, half a year ago, moved out of the parental home with his wife Catherine into a house with a small garage about ten miles away. Both just look forward to the birth of their first child.

Well, both Jamie and Tom, are much too busy to only remember to pay once a visit to the parents unless on the holidays.

In addition the relations to the daughter-in-law Catherine, as so often, aren't the best. Catherine is quite dominant, so wears the trousers and Tom is under her firm control. Elisabeth is convinced that she has taken care of that the contact to the parents has been definitely reduced. Except of some occasional short calls of Tom - at which Elisabeth always has the impression that Catherine is standing beside Tom and pays attention that he does not waste too much time with the conversation - there is absolute silence. Tom then mostly sends a brief greeting from Catherine and hangs up. Since Catherine is pregnant, Elisabeth cannot remember already when she has talked to her in person the last time. Perhaps this becomes better when she will have given birth to the grandchild, Elisabeth hopes at all events.

Elisabeth and Henry sit in the big, empty house now and suddenly must recognize that they have nothing more to say to each other.

Henry also does not make a move to improve the domestic atmosphere. While Elisabeth always cared for the welfare of the children - when they still were in the house - he followed his work at the city administration and got only some of Elisabeth's needs. She had reported all details to him at the breakfast but - as so often with men - he didn't listen to her and hid himself behind the newspaper while she kept on and on at him.

Henry then, when she asked him questions about his opinion, only utters a "Mhm" or a quiet "yes" so as if he would listen. However, he was actually too much absorbed by his newspaper.

When the children still were at home Elisabeth enjoyed herself occasionally to tell Henry any nonsense and then to ask Henry for example: "Have you heard that Mrs. Miller next-door has flown to the moon?" And, if Henry then answered with "yes", the children couldn't hold on for laughter any more. Henry then looked morosely, appearing from his newspaper and wondered why the children and Elisabeth giggled.

After the breakfast Henry went to the office and returned only in the late afternoon again. But there still were the children at home. However now everything is different - especially for Elisabeth - only emptiness and solitude.

Elisabeth now feels like crying. If she imagines how many years of only such dreary days are waiting for her in which she remains unnoticed by Henry and only has to care for his welfare as a housekeeper.

Today, if she sits at the breakfast table opposite this newspaper holding man, she would like best of all to tear down the newspaper and slap Henry on the right and on the left. As she used it occasional with the children, if they weren't attentive. She had always been able to take the children to the reason with the slaps. But she cannot guess how Henry would react and so she preferred better only to leave it at the idea.

Fortunately however there is Jenny, the best friend of Elisabeth. With 46 years of age exactly as old as Elisabeth. But just the opposite. Energy loaded, optimistic, single, childless and always on the search for new challenges and adventures.

Elisabeth couldn't say at the best will how many affairs Jenny had had within the many years since they have met. They were in the same school class. Perhaps it mattered that the all excited Jenny admired the quiet Elisabeth and Elisabeth was impressed by Jenny's energy. They directly became friends and this friendship has gone through all the ups and downs.

Anyway Elisabeth found with Jenny a very attentive listener who always looked for and provided solutions, too. Jenny was also a great help for Elisabeth for she was very much experienced with the internet. Finally Jenny had to thank the World Wide Web for her many acquaintances, where she was registered at numerous social networking websites and chat rooms to get new contacts.

The sooner prudish and conservative Elisabeth observes Jenny's activities with a little suspicion however not without some admiration either. This woman manages everything. Also if Jenny always explains her again and again that she doesn't begin the lots of manly relations because of the money, she is astonished at the standard of living which Jenny leads anyway. Always very much stylish clothed, an apartment established incredible, an elegant convertible. Elisabeth cannot imagine how Jenny can earn so much money in the call centre at which she works. But no matter how - Jenny is simply brilliant - and that is the most important for Elisabeth.

Jenny is not only a very attentive listener but a friend who asks questions. Not only any questions but all questions, so also questions which Elisabeth would not imagine in her wildest dreams. Jenny wants to know everything. Also the most intimate secrets - provided that there are any.

Of course Jenny is also fully informed about that Elisabeth and Henry have - so to speak - sacrificed their sex life for their children - that there virtually isn't any sex life between them. But sometime - decades ago - the both must have once experienced a thrill, otherwise Tom and Jamie would not be on the world. And this Jenny always states when the speech comes to this topic.

Jenny cannot imagine a life without substantial sex at all and so she is also very much wondering about how Elisabeth can bear it without an occasional orgasm. And Jenny is almost speechless as Elisabeth on the question: "Do you make it yourself then at least occasionally?" blushes with shame and answers that she has never tried this in her life.

But Jenny is now not as speechless that she does not add just the next question - or let's better say - an assumption: "But Henry certainly makes it himself anyway? Or do you know nothing about this at all?"
